Why I do, What I do

We all have a story that shapes our lives.

Maybe once you’ve read mine you’ll understand why I do what I do and why I teach what I teach…

Back in 2003 I had one traditional “bricks and mortar” business. It was well established, had 26 staff, a pretty good customer base with sales of around £100,000 ($150,000) per month.

Not bad you might say? But the truth was I hated it.

My life was 100% stress – constantly worrying about sales, bills and cash (heck my wages bill alone was over £40,000 ($60,000) per month!) – constantly dealing with staff and the health and safety regulations that came with them – constantly on the road from one meeting to the next – constantly dealing with accountants, lawyers and taxmen.

I was trapped in the job from hell, with no visible way of getting out – and what’s more I was never at home and completely missed my two young boys growing up.

I just knew there had to be a better way and in 2004 I flew to Chicago USA to get my first taste of internet marketing and 3 months later I had built my first direct response website. That first website not only brought me in sales of around £1000 per day, it also more importantly was tailored around automation and outsourcing – No Overheads required!

I realised that life could be be better in every aspect and now fast forward 7 years and…

I now have a wide network of well over 150 websites and revenue streams, ranging from my passion of consulting and training programs, through to e-commerce stores and affiliate sites. The growth has become exponential.

Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t all plain sailing and the internet alone didn’t change my life – I had to make some BIG decisions along the way and spend a considerable amount of time and money learning from some of the greatest mentors anyone could ever meet. But most importantly I applied what I had learnt, adapted new ways of doing things and helped a lot of other good people do the same.

As a result money now flows to me like a stream and I get some great satisfaction from what I do – life is great- I work from home, with little or no stress but the best thing without a doubt is that I can be dad to my kids – day in, day out.

How have I achieved this?

Well, over 90% of my businesses take little or no of my time to maintain. I just set them up, automate them and/or outsource them, tweak them and then just leave them. I currently buy, build and flip (that means sell) around 5 websites each and every week.

The fact that these take up so little of my time, allows me to spend most of my working time, doing what I love most – training, consulting, managing and helping business owners to achieve more by utilizing the internet, automation and marketing to -

  • Save Money on their Overheads
  • Increase their Sales
  • Automate their Business
  • Get a Life

I also consult for several blue chip companies using my experience with traditional marketing channels.
